Meet your practitioner - Brisbane herbalist

Ekaterina Schultz, Brisbane herbalist, herbal medicine practitioner, naturopath.

Hi, I’m Ekaterina (Kat) Schultz, a clinical Western herbalist and researcher dedicated to advancing evidence-based herbal medicine and bridging traditional botanical knowledge with modern scientific research. I am the founder of Evergreen Essence, a Brisbane-based herbal medicine clinic, where I integrate traditional botanical medicine with scientific understanding to support cognitive, neurological, and immune health.

My journey into herbal medicine began in childhood, fuelled by a deep curiosity about the natural world and a fascination with the healing properties of plants. This lifelong passion has shaped my career and continues to inspire my work today. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Western Herbal Medicine) and am currently a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) candidate, with research focused on the potential role of herbal medicine in cognitive dysfunction associated with Post-COVID-19 Condition.

Beyond clinical practice, I am deeply engaged in research and education, driven by a commitment to bridging traditional herbal knowledge with modern scientific understanding. My goal is to empower individuals with evidence-informed, holistic strategies that support long-term health and wellbeing.

Alongside clinical practice, my professional background spans laboratory technician work, research and regulatory consulting, education, and technical systems development. This multidisciplinary experience has strengthened my analytical and evidence-informed approach to health, allowing me to integrate scientific thinking, research, and personalised care within my clinical practice.
